This Privacy Policy explains how Moai Games Mateusz Wisniewski ("Moai Games", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you play Space Exiles or use related services (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

When you use Space Exiles, we may process the following categories of information.

Account Information

When you create or use a Space Exiles account, we process information necessary to create, identify, authenticate, and maintain your account. This may include:

• your account username;
• your player and account identifiers;
• authentication credentials and authentication-related information;
• account creation and login information; and
• identifiers associated with the game worlds and profiles in which you participate.

Passwords and authentication credentials are handled through our authentication service and are not stored by us as readable plain-text passwords.

Gameplay Information

Space Exiles is an online multiplayer game. We process and store information necessary to operate the game and preserve your progress, including information such as:

• player and profile names;
• game progress and scores;
• planets, buildings, research, resources, units, and fleets;
• missions and multiplayer interactions;
• battle, espionage, logistics, and other gameplay reports;
• tutorial progress;
• virtual items and currencies;
• game-world participation; and
• other information necessary to maintain your persistent game state.

Some gameplay information, such as your player name, score, ranking, planets, or other multiplayer information, may be visible to other players as part of the normal operation of the game.

Analytics Information

If you consent to analytics collection, we may collect gameplay and usage information to understand how Space Exiles is played and to improve the game.

This may include:

• gameplay events and actions;
• progression and tutorial events;
• session identifiers;
• selected game-world identifiers;
• approximate age of a game profile;
• game version;
• technical information associated with analytics events; and
• other diagnostic or usage information provided by our analytics service.

Space Exiles provides controls for analytics data collection. If analytics collection is disabled, optional gameplay analytics events are not intentionally recorded by the game.

Technical and Service Information

Our service providers may process technical information necessary to provide authentication, networking, cloud storage, analytics, security, diagnostics, configuration, and other online functionality.

Depending on the service and platform, this may include technical identifiers, device or application information, IP address, authentication tokens, timestamps, and diagnostic information.

We do not currently use Space Exiles to serve third-party advertising.

2. How We Use Information

We process information to:

• create, authenticate, and maintain player accounts;
• operate the persistent online game world;
• save and restore player progress;
• enable multiplayer gameplay;
• calculate rankings and other game features;
• process gameplay actions and maintain game integrity;
• prevent cheating, abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access;
• provide support and respond to player requests;
• diagnose technical problems;
• maintain and improve the Service;
• analyze gameplay and product performance where analytics collection is enabled;
• comply with legal obligations; and
• enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service Providers

Space Exiles uses third-party infrastructure and platform services to operate the game.

Unity Technologies

We use Unity services for functionality including:

• player authentication;
• Cloud Code and server-side game logic;
• cloud data storage;
• Remote Config and game configuration; and
• analytics.

These services may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their functionality.

Google Play

When Space Exiles is distributed through Google Play, Google may process information associated with downloading, installing, updating, reviewing, and using the application in accordance with Google's own terms and privacy practices.

Where purchases are offered through Google Play, payment processing is performed by Google. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Space Exiles may also use Google Play functionality such as the in-app review interface.

4. Multiplayer Information

Space Exiles is a multiplayer game.

Certain information is intentionally visible to other players where necessary for gameplay. This may include information such as:

• player or profile name;
• score and ranking;
• planets or other entities represented in the shared game world; and
• information contained in multiplayer gameplay results and reports.

Do not use a player name containing information that you do not want other players to see.

5. Analytics Choices

Where optional analytics collection requires your consent, Space Exiles provides a choice regarding analytics data collection.

You may change your analytics preference from the game's privacy settings.

The game may still process information necessary to provide essential functionality, such as authentication, persistent game state, networking, security, and server-side gameplay. Disabling optional analytics does not disable processing required for the game to function.

Where available, you may also request deletion of analytics data through the privacy controls provided in the game.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and gameplay information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide your Space Exiles account and the Service.

Some information may be retained for a longer period where necessary to:

• comply with legal obligations;
• maintain financial or transaction records;
• prevent fraud or abuse;
• resolve disputes;
• enforce our agreements; or
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

When information is no longer required for these purposes, it will be deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible.

7. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Space Exiles account and associated personal data.

Account deletion may be initiated using the account deletion functionality provided within Space Exiles or through the account deletion process available at spaceexiles.com.

Deleting your account is intended to permanently remove or anonymize personal data and gameplay data associated with the account, except information that we are required or permitted to retain for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Account deletion is different from disabling analytics collection or requesting deletion of analytics data.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Space Exiles uses established cloud and platform services for authentication and server-side data processing. However, no online service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

9. Children and Minimum Age

Space Exiles is not intended for children under the age of 13.

You must be at least 13 years old to create and use a Space Exiles account.

Where the laws applicable to you require consent from a parent or legal guardian to use online services or for the processing of personal data, you may use Space Exiles only with the required consent.

If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable data protection law may give you rights regarding your personal data, including rights to:

You may withdraw consent to consent-based processing at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you live.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy when Space Exiles, our service providers, applicable laws, or our data practices change.

When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the game, our website, or another appropriate method.

The date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last updated.
